I went over this morning to check the trap and we caught a dog! Not Pugsley, but another black dog who had been hanging around the area. We think some of the calls about possible sightings may have actually been him rather than Pugsley. He was the lab mix that was hanging out with the Chow. The chow was actually in the area as well and we came close to catching him too. We put a trail of canned dog food leading into the trap and will be monitoring it closely over the next couple of hours to see if he goes in. Animal Control came out and took the lab mix - he had a tag on so hopefully, they will be able to find his owners.
No more cats that I know of in the trap. No new sightings either :(
